In between a Blur reunion and several other projects, the always-busy Damon Albarn is also working on the next Gorillaz album. Dubbed Plastic Beach, the LP is set to feature Snoop Dogg, Mos Def, Lou Reed, and several others. They will appear on what Albarn called "the most pop record I've ever made," according to an interview with the Guardian. It will certainly be interesting to hear exactly where he plans on taking this album. Gorillaz and Demon Days were very different from one another sonically, though both did contain elements of "pop" here and there -- "19-2000" and "DARE," respectively, for example. Plastic Beach is scheduled to drop in 2010.
