actors who have bands

bands with actors in them suck. dogstar, the bacon brothers, russell crowe's band... jada pinkett smith's metal band? hahaha...

ryan gosling's band, however, is actually good. I've heard this song a few times, and it's growing on me, worth checking out...

if you haven't seen this, rent it. he got an oscar nomination for it.

this is a memorable scene from a movie starring daniel craig...

I feel like it is cool, but mostly because they are using a good song. this whole movie is based around scenes that involve songs by roxy music. does this seem like the director is just using someone else's art to make something he can call his own? sometimes video adds to the experince of listening to music, and other times it's just there. here is an example of adding something to the music...

skate videos are another example of combining visuals with music. when you think of your favorite video parts of all time, how much does the music affect your decision? ie. jamie thomas/welcome to hell/iron maiden/hallowed be thy name? I'm starting to think louie bartletta's skating is boring, and I'm just a huge rod stewart fan.

I feel like there was almost a point to this post, but then I lost it. Harry says my blog isn't nerdy enough, I'm working on it.

the show was awesome, we were lucky to have seen him in a venue like this. keep a heads up about music in the area, and you can catch some good shit without the crowd. another track...
